What is an interim manager?
An interim manager (also called a transition manager) is an experienced executive or manager, external to the company, mandated for a limited period (typically 3 to 18 months) to steer a critical situation, a transformation, an interim cover or a strategic project. They join the organisation chart, take operational decisions and deliver concrete results, with a strong focus on execution.
Interim management or transition management: what's the difference?
They refer to the same concept. "Interim Management" is the Anglo-Saxon term used in Northern Europe (UK, Netherlands, Germany, Scandinavia) and increasingly in international groups, while "Management de Transition" is the French term. An interim manager is therefore a transition manager, and an interim CFO is a DAF de transition. MANAGERIM operates under both terminologies interchangeably.
When should you call on an interim manager?

What is the difference between interim management and traditional recruitment?
