The missions of an interim production manager

The interim production manager manages the activity of an industrial site or one or more production units. Depending on the organization of the site, his missions include various responsibilities:

• Ensure a proximity management of the teams under his responsibility
• Manage the daily relationship with the various production department managers: workshop managers, planning manager, process and methods engineers, etc.
• Organize and manage the planning of production activities
• Manage production and supervise the chain (manufacturing, maintenance, quality, scheduling, methods, supply, etc.) in compliance with objectives (costs, production rates, lead times, quality, safety)

• Manage investments and intervene in any cross-functional projects (implementation of a new ERP, etc.)
