The missions of an interim maintenance manager

The maintenance manager is in charge, with the team he/she supervises, of the maintenance, safety and development of the production facilities of his/her company.

Thanks to the implementation of a maintenance plan, he/she participates in the improvement of equipment and its adaptation to new technologies as well as to the company's organizational changes.

Depending on the organization and the needs of the company, the missions include various responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities, organize the resources required for maintenance
• Manage schedules and priorities, taking into account production periods and cycles
• Supervise and guarantee the conformity of maintenance work carried out by his/her team or by external service providers
• Maintain and lead the links with the manufacturers of machines or parts as well as with the various suppliers and manufacturers in order to cover the maintenance needs of the company
• Ensure a technical and documentary watch concerning the company's equipment
• Propose and implement improvements in the management of maintenance and new work in order to increase productivity and reduce costs and production times
