Position: Interim Manager – Master Data Project Manager – Food Industry Sector
Context and Mission: Structuring and securing Master Data Management
In the context of a broader transformation of the Supply Chain department, this mission aimed to reinforce data governance, align master data standards, and secure MDM processes, while ensuring full traceability and compliance with food industry regulations.
Challenges & Actions:
- Conducted a full audit of Master Data Management practices, identifying discrepancies and opportunities to optimize product, ingredient, and supplier data
- Restructured target processes by implementing data governance frameworks that ensured traceability of raw materials and finished goods
- Harmonized product, customer, and supplier master data to improve accuracy, streamline logistics flows, and enhance inventory management
- Secured and validated data in collaboration with the Supply Chain team, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations (IFS, HACCP)
- Worked closely with Supply Chain, Quality, Data Factory, and IT teams to integrate consistent and reliable data into ERP systems
- Supported the digitalization of MDM processes by implementing tools and methodologies to ensure long-term data quality and governance
Results:
- Established a robust data governance model, improving traceability and control of production and distribution flows
- Enhanced data quality, enabling better production forecasting and cost optimization
- Secured and standardized product and supplier data, improving management of expiry dates and regulatory compliance
- Harmonized MDM processes across sites, reducing errors and improving coordination between production facilities and logistics centers
Profile of our MANAGERIM Interim Manager:
- Proven experience leading Master Data Management projects, particularly in the food and beverage industry
- Strong expertise in supply chain processes and data structures
- Deep understanding of food industry standards and certifications (IFS, HACCP, ISO 22000) and ability to embed them into data systems
- Skilled in designing and implementing MDM frameworks within complex ERP environments (SAP, Oracle, Infor…)
- Ability to rally cross-functional teams around data quality challenges, structure information flows, and drive change in digital transformation settings
